Children at St Mary’s

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. ”   (Proverbs 22:6 )

Children are welcome at all of our St Mary’s services.   We have a special area in our church where parents can sit with their children whilst they play with quiet toys, and still be very much part of the body of the church.
A creche for pre-schoolers operates at our 5pm service so parents can listen to the sermon without distraction.

God’s Gang

God’s Gang is our Sunday School program, for children from 4 year old Kinder to Grade 6.  Families join us for the start of our 10.30am service and after some songs, a prayer and sometimes a short kids’ talk, the kids head off with their God’s Gang teachers and helpers to our Parish House for their session.

A typical God’s gang session will include some singing, games, crafts and of course bible lessons and stories!  Kids are collected by their parents from the Parish house when the service is finished.

All of our God’s Gang teachers and Creche leaders have current Working with Children Checks, National Police Checks and are carefully screened.
